The name of path is Tram Ton within great Hoang Lien Son Mount. Heaven Gate is at the top of this path.   1. Schedule and means of transport

You can choose your own schedule and means of transport which are most suitable to you. From Ho Chi Minh City, you can catch a train to Hanoi, then a bus to Ha Long. Or you can catch a bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong City, and then to Ha Long. With this way, you can save a lot of money. If you don’t have much time, you can take a flight to Hanoi or Hai Phong, and then take a bus to Ha Long.

Ha Long is about 170 Km from Hanoi so it will take about 3 or 4 hours to go there from Hanoi by bus. You can take a bus of Hoang Long Express at Kim Ma station in Nguyen Thai Hoc Street. There is a bus every 15 minutes. You can also take a bus at Yen Vien station at 4:55 every day.

Bus fare from Hanoi to Ha Long is about 100,000 VND ($5). The bus will stop at Ha Long station and if you would like to go to Bai Chay, you can take a motor-taxi for 30,000 VND ($1.5) for one person and 60,000 VND ($3) for each to Hon Gai. You should call a taxi if your group has more than 3 people. Or you can catch a bus for 10,000 VND for each person.

There are many hotels of 3 and 4 stars for you to book. One room in a 3-star Hotel is about 600,000 VND ($28)/day. The price for weekends is higher because a lot of visitors will come there. You can choose a motel room to stay for 300,000 VND ($15)/day.
